PROJECT STORY
Modernizing critical systems across an operating water-treatment facility.
IPS upgraded medium- and low-voltage distribution, process equipment, controls, and supporting infrastructure throughout Union Hills Water Treatment Plant. Additional improvements included blower upgrades, basin flow meters, a chlorine scrubber, PLC replacements, duct banks, conductors, and complete startup and commissioning.
POWER

Upgrade critical electrical distribution
New 5kV and 480V switchgear and MCC improvements strengthened electrical infrastructure at the pump stations and disinfection building.
PROCESS

Improve treatment equipment
Three 250 HP aeration and filter-backwash blowers were upgraded, basin flow meters were added, and a new 12-ton chlorine scrubber was installed.
CONTROL
Integrate and commission
Four PLCs were upgraded facility-wide, followed by successful startup, testing, and commissioning of all plant improvements.
Impact + Highlights
Plant-wide modernization, delivered as one integrated program.
Power distribution, process equipment, instrumentation, and controls were coordinated through final testing and commissioning.
